Why hijack a thread when it takes the same amount of effort to start a new one?

Mindi (my girlfriend/fiance) actually likes cars and trucks. She wasn't feeling good and we drove almost 2 hours to get there. She goes to all the car shows and swap meets with me and she even helpswork on the charger. You can't beet that. As for the whole money situation everyone here can agree you have to set money back for your project, pay bills, save some, and keep some for other things such as girlfriends!! Oh by the way yesterday was our 3 Year aniversery. She is used to the whole car scene by now!!!

hey since noone will answer my other post what is the best machine/engine shop to send my block and heads to?? I aslo want them to put the main bearings back in and redo the valve trian balance the crank for me and if the price is right I might even have them do pistons becuase I'm not that experienced in engine building I will do the oiling system, intake, cooling, all the outside stuff!! I could use names and number please.

chargerkid01

Might not be a bad drive. Hell I've gone further for dumber things!! Getting my engine done proffesionally is worth it. If we all get together and go out it makes worth the time and then some. Especially since my fiance does most of the road trips with me!! Yes please get the number for me. If I get my finances together I could bring the engine and make the show!! Minus the charger of course!!

WingCharger

So there are no places near you at all that could do it?

chargerkid01

I guess I will learn right!! I can have a buddy help me it is no big deal I'll still take the number if at all possible.

bigred68

Hey Chargerkid, I know of a good engine builder/assembler in Kent. For the life of me I can't find his number. Give me alittle while, I'm gonna see my in-laws later, I know my father in-laws got the number. When I get it I'll post it for you. He's very good but VERY slow. IF you were to get your engine to him NOW, it proly wouldn't be ready untill NEXT summer. I may? be going to Cincy also, I'm kinda keeping an eye on the weather. K, later!

The guy's name is Rusty Vaughn his adress is 1093 Graham Ave. Kent Ohio 44240. His phone number is (330)678-9982. He's a good guy. He's done alot of work for friends of mine in the Coachman Rod club. He is VERY busy though. He can do all machine work and assembly at his home. Good luck!

chargerkid01

Bigred thanks man I will definatly check him out!!! If he is who I use I will probably not go to cincy this year but mopar nats is a must for me!!!

Hey chargerkid01, I was watching channel 3 news last night and Mark Nolan did an interview with this place. They're in Geauga County (not sure where yet) but WOW. This looks to be the place to build an engine! They said in the interview on TV that they built the engines for Dale Jr's Busch cars years ago when he won the Busch Championship. They're website looks to be only chebby, but they said last night they'll build any make/model car, engine. If you go to they're contact page they give andress, phone number and email. They're in Chardon. Heck, thats like 30min from me, I might go check'em out tomorrow!
I'd say they were definitely worth looking into!!  :2thumbs:

hey since noone will answer my other post what is the best machine/engine shop to send my block and heads to??

Terry Shade Racing Engines. 419-886-2550   He is in Bellville and has done some really awesome engines. Years ago he used to do some Nascar stuff but I don't think he does much of that anymore. Terry has done some work for me in the past and he'll be the one doing the head, block and crank work for my 440. I'll put my own engine together though.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.
