Now you tell me. :slap:
The tiles were a Congoleum product and the boxes looked to be fairly newer. 12x12.  I'm sure i've had my fill of asbestos anyways from my navy days.  lead paint- check, asbestos-check, beryllium exposure-check and any other noxious gas/liquid/solid you can think of.  ....ohhh yes, I'm proud to be a coal miner's dau.......... :whistling:
Thanks for looking out though :2thumbs:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Include me in there. While in the Army, the government housing areas where a trove of treasures. Families moving back to the states would toss anything new or old that they had kept until the last minute after there main housing shipments already went out. Germany had what they called Junk Day. It was picker heaven. You name it was set out for anyone to get.

We have a city operated recycle center.  I like to do metal art and it is a score for all that.  Last week I was there and someone dumped a chipper/grinder there.  It was identical to mine but had all the key parts.  It had been left outside for a couple of years and the tires were flat.

I took it home -- the thing is brand new.  I felt sorry for the person who originally bought it because it could never have run well.  The spark plug boot had the little metal thing way ajar -- it had to come that way from the factory.  The rest was in great shape.  So I cranked it up and now I have two 10hp chipper/shredders.  People just throw stuff away.  Kim

Great idea , but I would have to drive to NH or MA for that. :smilielol:

Picked up about 15 picture frames today, they will come in handy cause I'm on a rearranging/picture kick.  A few VHS movies, Miss Congeniality, Bill and Ted's, Indiana Jones; Last Crusade, Needful Things to name a few.

Hey remember those tiles I found. ;D

Tiles look great :2thumbs: it they were asbestos you would just keep wax on them anyway since installing and removing is when your at risk. We have to take an asbestos test every 3 years to keep up on new standards.

KAAATOWWWWWW!!!!

How's this score?
Have no idea the year, but this thing had everything in it.  Must have cost a fortune and it appears to have been used very little.  I played with it for a while myself.  Man, that is some serious magnification going on with these things.  Even the little light underneath works. :2thumbs:
I swear I saw some stuff moving around on the little glass thingies.

I felt like Grissom.

Geo,
That was funny on the plates. :smilielol:

Not so bad today up here.  The storm wasn't as bad as they said it was going to be.  My compound is pretty cleared out.  That Boss 9.2 V really can push some snow I tell ya.  I even plowed around the back of the house(the yard).  Never know when I'll need to stuff another car.
