Hello Charger Fans,
I need some help on some Q's I have about  my newly aquired 74 Charger! What parts are interchangeable from the 71-74 Chargers? I was told that the bulge hood would fit on mine? Also how about the taillights and front hideaway headlights? Also any leads on these items would greatly be appreciated!!!     Thanks Heminez

Hey welcome aboard.  I don't have the answers but there are some 3rd generation gurus on this site that will chime in and answer your questions or direct you to the thread that does.

I'm no 3rd gen pro, but there is more in common between the '73-'74. Someone will chime in. Try here & moparts.org for parts.

Heminez,
The hoods are interchangable, as are the taillights and hidaways.  A friend and I put the hidaways on his 74, but you ned to get the mounting brackets for the hidaways as well, not just the frames, grilles, and doors.  The doors and interior panels are not interchangable, they are 71-2 and 73-4.  The doors have a different "rake" at the window.  The front suspensions are much different too, again ther are the 71-2 and 73-4.  Dash components will interchange, as will motors and transmissions, but the 73-4's use a "spool" type of motormount.  Bumpers are interchangable, but you have to decide whether or not you plan to keep the bumper guards, as the earlier rear valance does not have the cut-outs for hte bigger 73-4 guards.  Hope this helps.
