ok... well i am going to use the spindles off of my parts car 76 plymouth fury x police car.. the lower ball joints that are on my 70 charger will not line up with the holes in the spindles, but my brothers old a body ones will (off of a 68 dart).. so my question is do i just order new (68 dart ones) to replace my old 70 b body lower ball joints..

thanks ray

I hate these questions , the liability end sucks  ::)
if the B body ball joints do not line up with the holes then you must use a smaller  joint to work , Make sure the tapered pin is the same size & the joint you are replacing , be warned you are going to a lighterduty part

I haven't heard of anyone using the spindles from that model year Fury on a Charger but the caliper brackets are a popular part when using the 11.75" rotors. Typically people use spindles from the disc-equipped '73-'74 E-body or '73-'76 A-body cars and then add the caliper brackets you have to those spindles so they can use the larger rotors.

Is that a B or C body Fury? If it's a B body the holes should be the same size and spacing. If it's a B and the holes are different that's a first heard for me. I know zero about C body knuckles/spindles.

i believe that the 76 fury is a b body, but imm not really sure....  imm just wondering.. i do have a complete disk break setup off of a 69 charger, but the brakes are only 10in i believe and i wanted my charger to stop better so i was just goign to use the 11in stuff off of the cop car.. i guess i should call up a front end shop or something...
thanks ray

I believe the Fury was a B body agian in the mid 70s, but it has the isolated front K frame

How good are the rotors in the 69 setup (if you are looking to get rid of them that is)?

Plymouth made B and C body Furys in 76. Dodge also made two different Chargers that year; one with the same body as the Cordoba and one with the same body as the B body Fury which was the same body as the 75 Road Runner before they moved the nameplate to the then new Volare.

Have you looked for a donor car at the wrecking yards? You need spindles off a disc-brake equipped '73-'74 E-body (Cuda, Challenger) or '73-'76 A-body (Valiant, Dart, Duster). Your rotors should measure 11.75" and be sure to keep your caliper brackets off the cop car cause you'll be needing them to adapt your new or rebuilt calipers to the spindles.

You've seen this haven't you? http://www.moparaction.com/Tech/archive/disc-main.html
