smart design...    cant think of where I would use it though - if I need a watertight splice I usually just replace the entire wire    thats me though   :shruggy:
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1964 Dodge Polara 500 - 440 / 4-speed / 3.91 Sure Grip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

yeah, I've heard of making something airtight, oops wrong forum. :D

Pretty cool looking, I must say.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

At work, we have splices with a sleeve that is shrunk over the splice by a heat gun with a material that melts inside it to create a water-proof seal.  In the aviation industry, splices are preferred to soldering since soldering could break with vibration.  Here's what they look like:

That's pretty cool. We use wire connectors that have a heat shrink on them, so once you crimp the wire you can use a lighter or heat gun to make the shrink.

This is not where we get them, but they are the same thing.
