I'm getting the obvious part of course but why not fill us in on the whole story.  (especially for me as a dumb Canuck a couple of times zones away and a lot colder)

SFRT

its a just for fun car club I started. we have a couple of car clubs around here and they are all sorta snobby and want to pretend its some imaginary 1955 era and so on so I decided to start an 'anti-club'.

we ask that members have a running big block car, pre 1975 ,american made. preferably a loud fast one, and that they be a bit of an ass when they drive. we have already indulged in afew ..um...'races'. lol.

other than that we have no dues, rules or official meetings, just hang time when desired. maybe go to some events and annoy all the purists.

I invited 4 guys and they each get to invite one etc. so far we have 12 members or so. each member gets a plaque, with their name and number on it and, if they fee like it, display on their car or toilet seat.

so far we have these cars in the club:

my 69 r/t
a  69 hemi superbee
a regular 69 suberbee
a sweeeeeet 69 satellite 440
a wicked 65 chevy station wagon with a 454 in it. perfect condition 600 rwhp
a 29 model A hot rod with a 392 hemi
a 54 corvette
a 39 chevy coupe
a 40 willys
a 59 chevy gasser
a 70 'cuda
a 73 challenger
a 64 impala

at some point we will throw a car show. band bash bbq here in town. just for kicks.

it sort of grew out of a group of friends that have been helping each other with our cars.

Cool, we had a similar thing here in my hometown but it wasn`t long before some of the people who use to complain about cliques within the two snobby clubs here formed their own clique in our club.  Now myself and one of the other founding fathers rarely attend.  Oh well.

SFRT

hopefully it wont happen to us..most of us have known each other for a really long time, and we are all definately weirdos, and I believe that that, combined with a total lack of structure or purpose, may allow us to prosper. heh.

if Brock ever shows up, I will offer him a membership. :D

I'd lobby for my 08 Charger, but its made in Canada, with a Mexican engine, and a German transmission.

Don't think so. It doesn't run and it's got a SB engine.

You`d probably just be a troublemaker anyway.  :D

Pretty cool.  I did have to look up the meaning of a "chiseler" in the urban dictionary though

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Chiseler
So I guess the Irish can't join as well? ;)

Then on the side bar I saw the word "chiselhurst"....I thought it had something to do with Hurst shifters....apparently not...

I'd say definition 2 best fits the bill!

Geez, you got four '69's but no '68's  :scratchchin:...and only one Charger  :scratchchin: :scratchchin:....

My bonifides: I have frequented a few bars in my birthtown (just don't ask about the bachelor party and the decorated vegetation along 101.... :drunk:) and set off car alarms. Have chirped the tires more than a few times, and have opened all four barrels in all four gears.

You're about 40 miles from my house...I can be there in under 30 min. :woohoo: Let me know when the interview is and I'll buy the first round.  :icon_smile_wink: :D

Frank,

I'll try this afternoon to get up your way...but the rain may make the journey a bit sketchy. Oh wait, is this a test?  :scratchchin:  :icon_smile_wink:  Regardless, I have your shop address so a visit is in the future. Thanks for the invite.
