I finely got the duster. We picked up the 73 340 4spd duster and the hang 10 dart. Here are a few pics.

What was the sassy grass green duster right next to yours when you picked it up? It wasn't a 1971 duster with the v24 option by any chance (blacked out hood with 340 call out)

I'll trade you engines.

340 for a 318 :naughty:

your best bet cody is pick up a cheap 360 like what I have in my Aspen. 340 heads and a little work and you'll have some good power under the hood, not to mention it's a cheap small block to start with.

It was a 71 318 car. It is sold and is now in Salt lake. That pic was taken right after my car got to utah about a year or so ago.

I agree. 340's are cool, but if you don't allready have one, buy a 360 and build it. Its cheap. as for the heads, you can get edelbrack aluminum ones for around $900 now. Thats less than finding some 340 "J" heads and having them built. If you want "X" heads. They are pricy.

Nice score!  Register the Hang 10 at Chris G.'s site....

http://www.hangtenregistry.com/

I think I registered it when they first got here from AZ. My friend is going to build the hang 10. I sold him another one a few years ago so he will have two.

:yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: I agree. I am going to add a hood scoop though. I have lines on a factory one. Should know soon. Also duel sport mirrors in body color. As far as engine work. I think I will use the 340, but I will put Edelbrock heads on it and TTI headers. Any one wanta set of 340 A-body exhaust manifolds?

I pulled some of the interior out tonight. The floors are solid. Also pulled the foam off of the shifter. I was very pleased to see that it does still have the factory HURST shifter. Check out the pics. I will post more pics this week end. Between work and school, I don't know how I will have time to work on it, but at least I have it.

My car has headers. I don't like the pair on it. They are too low. I'm gonna start searching for original manifolds.

TTI Headers have a great reputation. I am not really going to sell the manifolds I have. They would be to hard to replace. They will just sit on shelf next to the "J" heads.

I have a long time, but little time if you know what I mean. (work 40+ hours a week and school 20+ hours a week) I also have little money thanks to school and med bills from a wile ago. I am hoping to get rid of my Caddi and just get a dart or something for a driver.
