I need power steering bracket mounting pictures. It's a 400 with A/C and a Saginaw pump.  There is no idler pulley.  I mounted mine but feels flimsy, so I do not believe I got it right.

Thanks!
Paul

Not sure if this if of any help but the picture is on the Bouchillon Performance website.

dunno if will be enough. Is a 3 brackets and one spacer assembly.

I have it set up like this, but it feels too flimsy, like I am going to bend the bracket.  There was no rear support for these?

Can you post pictures of your current setup so we could better understand what you mean by flimsy?  I get the understanding that the power steering pump is not rigid in it's mount and that you can move it forward and backward thus changing the belt tension---which you shouldn't be able to do.  I'am referencing as though I were sitting in the drivers seat.  I would say left to right would be how the belt tension is adjusted using this same drivers seat reference.  Hard to explain--------thats why pictures would really help.

bolts directly in to the block for these years... 72 and earliers are like the first pic, sitting higher since water pump outlet is at that side below the steering pump.

so whe have the rear bracket, spacer, bracket to front of water pump what is just only a point support to the long bolt used like a pivot and the nut to keep the tension and then the front steering pump bracket

Hmm, I have a 72 block and 73 brackets I guess because it does not bolt into the block and does not have provisions for it.  Looks like I need to shell out more money for those brackets  :brickwall: :brickwall:

Well I've exhausted all of the resources I had at my house.  My water pump outlet is on the passenger side.  Can I use the Bouchillon brackets with this set up?   I currently have a single belt from my crank pulley to my alternator because I took the A/C compressor off.  I need the power steering to share a belt with the fan.  I don't want to get in bracket/pulley hell because I know there's a ton of different combinations and frankly I do not have the money to mess with it.

I would recommend that you call Bouchillon directly.  They have one person there that I talked to (don't recall name) that is their resident pulley and bracket expert.  I bet he can answer your questions.
