I have a 2001 gmc Sierra 1500 and the right rear axle shock mount is bent. Would I take that to an autobody shop to get it fixed?????? :scratchchin:

Please I need a least an Idea of what to do??????

terrible one

If it were me, I'd just get another from the u-pull-it and replace it.

Upper or lower? Upper is probably part of the frame. Lower part unbolts and you could maybe heat it up and bend it back it to shape. If not I wouldn't think it would cost too much at the dealership. Salvage yard would have to remove it and that could cost you almost as much.

If it is a welded bracket to the axle tube you can more than likely remove the shock at the mount and hammer it back into shape.
