is amazing how ppl sells "NOS BUMPER BOLTS" with the incorrect nut

here is with a nice nut:

the right nut is really with a built in washer, but long time without see those. I got some on a hardware shop locally. Maybe you'll be able too to go to a hardware shop and will find them.

BTW they are not chromed, they are trimed with a stainless steel cover

I can't answer on the flange washer nut use for the 1971 and up cars, BUT I know for a fact the 1970 and older cars did NOT use a flange lock nut as shown.
1970 and older use a simple nut, lock washer and then flat washer arrangement

no they not... but at least mine got the built in washer on nut... dunno how they really call :shruggy:

Mr G's fastners.com. You'll drool over all the mopar nuts, bolts and screw kits they have cheap.

i purchased mine from Northland fasterners - they had the correct bolt with washer on it and nut.

It all depended on what nut mopar had on hand that day. The bumpers on my 73 SE have never been unbolted from the braces. And it has  reguler nuts and lock washers. Also I worked at the Dodge Place from after two years in Veitnam from 76 to 98. I never saw replacement bumper bolts come out of the parts room with captured lock washers.
Replacement parts that never sold retail is what NOS is. So the nuts with the NOS bolts are correct for those bolts.
