Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Wow! You're really committed taking on that large of a project. Looks good. :2thumbs: What made you decide to go with the Viper independent rear suspension and transaxle setup as opposed to just mating the Viper stuff to a regular rear end?

Viper crates are no longer in production as automotive crates....     some marine applications still exist - so i hear...

There are plenty of wrecked vipers out there...   alot of people get them sideways and never recover...

Ghoste

I don't know that anyone has tried to get performance data on one.  The only completed swap that I know of has been mostly a show poodle hasn't it?

I would have drive the ever living wheels off one though.  How could one do all that work just to say  "look what I did Bill, whatta think, eh?

I would rather see it blasting down a 1/4 or on a Road Corse!!!!

Tom

Ghoste

Me too, and I don't know that somebody hasn't.  It's just that I only know of that silver 68 as a completed one and I can't recall ever seeing where it was flogged.  I remember magazine articles about it but I only remember consttruction details never any performance numbers.
Anybody?

Mike DC

There were a few big-time show poodles built with Viper motors in the 1990s but we never really saw a trend in this.  That's why there is so little data about it.

Ghoste

Do you recall any used for other than show Mike?  I've been thinking about it and I can only recall the one Charger and a couple of E-bodies now.  Surely there were more than that though?  You're right, it never really took off did it?

sardillim

Custom motor mount are made and the engine is in the car with out help
