I need to get the distributor drive out of my old 318 and put it in my 360.  #1 will this interchange?  #2 what is the best way to take the drive out and place it in a different engine?  please help 1st timer here!!!

Yes the smallblock dist drives will interchange. Use a slot screwdriver and insert it into the slot and turn the screwdriver the opposite direction of distributor rotation and the gear will back right out.  ;)

Which way is opposite direction of distributor rotation?  Clock wise or counter clock wise?

Smallblock distributors turn clockwise so you want to turn the gear in the opposite direction (counterclockwise) for removal.  :yesnod:
