Hey, I have a '74 Charger with a 318 and stock (rebuilt) 904 trans. The engine is at the machine shop and is about to be wrapped up (late next week) and I just picked up the trans from the shop. I know this may be silly, but I want the rough idle without all the vacuum issues, idle problems, etc. I'm building the factory 318 back basically stock, except for 4 barrel and headers. I intend to drive this car as much as I can, so reliability and friendliness in traffic and hot weather is huge for me. That being said, I have been doing a little reading on the CompCams Thumpr series. It seems like this is the cam I'm looking for. My problem with cams is that all the lobe separation and lift and duration and how it affects everything all just makes me want to tear out my eyeballs! Just curious if anyone wants to weigh in on this?
