Summit shows the Hellwig, but for '70 only. There is a Summit brand 1" bar http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?SearchType=Make&N=700+4294925082+4294908110+4294908099+4294925130+4294839061+115+4294923769
I have the Hellwig rear, but never mounted, it requires screwing into the frame(I'm having it welded instead). I have an Addco front, I haven't drove the car so I can't say much, but they had to send me longer links to get it to fit.  :Twocents:

IMO, you should have a bigger front bar than rear. I think it helps w/balance & handling. I'm guessing your oem front isn't bigger than 7/8. I could be completely wrong though.   :shruggy:

i think the front one is 1 1/8 . so that means i need a 7/8 rear bar. Rene

Hey Rene,

Just an FYI, the way that front bar mounts is really odd. We used that same bar on a 69 Bee recently and I was not impressed! the brackets are ugly and REALLY close the the lower radiator hose. :scope: The previous Addco bar was far better!!  :Twocents:

Let us know what you think when you get it on??

I have the Addco rear bar on my car....IIRC their front bar mounts using 70 style brackets...
Unless you're laying on the ground like I was when I took the pic, you cant even see the bar from behind...

Chris , THe older Addco front bar is fine ( I have the older one on my Charger)...They changed it resently and to say the least it wasnt an improvment.

I didn't care for the way the Addco mounted, but I've got no other front bar to compare it to. I'm sure they work fine, they should improve fit & finish.

Many of these kits seem like overkill to me unless the car is really pushing the full G-machine thing everywhere.  Huge rims, tiny tire sidewalls, stiff-ass unibody & springs & shocks, etc.

Especially the rear sway bars.  An aftermarket rear bar is replacing the factory setup with NO rear bar at all.

And the load point of the leaves & torsion bars is not the same thing either (on the chassis end of the springs).

The torsion bars push on the chassis at the inner pivot points of the LCAs, whereas the rear leaf-springs are pushing on points outside the rear subframe rails.  It makes the front end want a lot more sway bar stiffening than the rear end does, just by the raw nature of the chassis design.
