lost a friend-be gone until saturday

a good friend of mine was killed in a car accident early monday am.driver was drinking,speeding on a strange road,and he was the passenger.

he was 26,and leaves behind a 5 year old daughter,please guys dont drink and drive-i like my beers,but someone sober allways has the keys. i am going to his wake thursday,and funeral friday.

Damn what a waste, sorry to hear that Andy, give my condolences to the family.

I saw one of my best friends die on a bike right in front of my eyes, we were both young, foolish and drunk, I made it, he didn't, lesson learned but what a price.
Everyone should make it a rule, you drive so you don't drink, not even the one or two allowed, too many nasty consequences to even think about it now.

See you back next weekend, we'll all be here (where else) to cheer you up if needed .

My brother amost was done in by drinking and driving....   I wont touch alcohol if I drive at all for this reason...

I feel for you, my 18 year old nephew died in April this year after a party,  he was driving and should not have been. We have all done things in our youth that we look back on and realize we should not have done, unfortunately your friend and my nephew did not get a second chance and now those closest must learn to live with the loss. Prayers with you and your firends family. My daughter is 17 and a senior and everytime she is driving somewhere I am nervous for her and because as I tell her all the time "just because you driving ok there are other that are not and my be drinking or talking on the phone or whatever"

Sorry to hear that Andy. Too often we hear of these types of misfortunes. They can be prevented if everyone understood the danger and the law.

MY condolences Andy. I lost a cousin to a drunk, another uncle is crippled for life due to a drunk in another "accident." You're completely right about not driving when you've been drinking. $35 for a cab, or call a buddy, and everyone goes home to their families. Just in case anyone is wondering, both of the drunks in the above accidents are just fine, Yeah, they still get to go home and hold their children, so please don't waste any time worrying about them.

i stopped by work to grab my paycheck and wanted to log in for a minute-thanks to everyone,he was a great guy and i miss him.he was at our house saturday night playing cards and i was supposed to help him with his ricer this weekend,its going to take a while before the hurt stops,damn i picked the wrong time to stop smoking,andy
