I am building a 69 Pro-touring I guess, and am making a front spoiler/splitter.  I plan on probably making it available to sell, if I can find a fiberglass shop to make them from my mold.  Does anyone have any experience with finding shops that might do small production runs of fiberglass parts?  I hope to make it a bolt on kit and possibly carbon fiber covered(for looks only).  Thanks, Mike

Why dont you make it yourself. I mean, you make the model and molds, so from there it is easy :2thumbs:
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

:popcrn: :scratchchin:  Interesting look.  I would like to see the final product.

Also, I agree with SunTech.  WOrks done lay it up and do it yourself.  www.shopmaninc.com  has all the supplies you need and could cover it with some carbon fiber if you wanted.

I am going a different road designwize, and will make it as a complete part, including the front valance, but it is the same thing.
When you do the molds, make sure you have slip angles everywhere. You might have to make the mold like a bolt together piece, that you take apart, to get the part out, but that is easy. Another thing is to make the mold in a resin that has smallest shrinking, like vinylester. A bit more money, but worth it.  Remember that all resins shrink, and you want the product to be as close to the model as possible.

I planned on making the first one, but was unsure of how to properly make a mold.  I did find a fiberglass manufacturer about 80 miles from me that makes jeep bodies and it looks like they may do small projects. I'll contact them next week.  Still have to get the final proportions right.  Mike
