John would be best to answer this but I know he took a shot with hood up then hood down using a tripod from the same point. He the overlayed them using his fancy software and removed the hood from the first pic ..something like that but it is his little secret  :lol:

That's pretty much how it is done. Camera is on a tripod and two photos are taken. Then, using photoshop or a similar program, you put the pictures on top of each other in separate layers and adjust the transparency of the top layer. If needed (due to shadow/lighting change) you can erase the rest of the hood down picture, keeping just the hood in the layer.

That would be a pretty cool effect with your wife taped up and stuffed in the trunk !

Pulled the beast out of the garage on Saturday as it was pretty warm here. Now the winter cold is back but no snow at least although they are still salting the roads as of yesterday so no driving. We need some rain to wash away the crap!

I had mine running on Saturday as well but like you the streets are not ready yet so no driving. Got the itch though  :cheers:

I started the Daytona last week too. Only problem is that it shot some soot out the exhaust onto the hood of my 69 Chevy c 10. Not a biggie,wiped right off. Started the 68 on saterday. really getting the itch.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............
