I want some opinions, what is a Charger RT woodgrain cluster with all guages, speedo, and tic toc tach worth? Assume guages need fix and /or restore? I only need the tach, but figure I can get the tach (I already have the new face decals) and sell the rest. What do you all think is the max to pay for the cluster with tach? Thanks

Depends, what shape is the woodgrain in?

I have about a couple dozen in various stages.  With tachs, you couldn't get a cluster for less than $300.00 a couple months ago on ebay.

woodgrain has some scratches, has tach, speedo and all small gauges, switches etc. came from 1970 Charger RT. What doe sit cost to rebuild the mechanicals of the tach?

I got a nice one two years ago for $175. I considered it a great deal. To scare yourself check eGouge.

I got extremely lucky and found one at a salvage yard for $75.00 USD this past summer, with the woodgrain (mind you it was not perfect).

I plan on sending it to Auto Intsruments in Martinsville, VA later this year for a total resto, approx. $600.00 USD.  I don't think that includes the woodgrain.

The post above are correct, you can look on e-bay but it is just to pricey.

If all you need is the tach and you plan on refacing the other gauges, just buy a refurbished tach from:

There are probably other that sell them, I just knew off of the top of my head that these folks have them.

The 70's command less $$ due to the fact that its "1 year only" and the woodgrain in that year is more common.  The 69 woodgrain dash from an SE it more $$.

The 68-69 clusters usually bring more because parts like the headlight switch are interchangeable....

I know the light switch is different... I have a 69 and 70 at home they are slightly different.

I could photo them if you want.

The 69's have the hole for emergency flashers switch.  '70 was the first year they mounted it was on the right side of steering column also Strat so the face plate has one less hole.  I'm the opposite, '70's have been more money as there are a bunch of 69-68's out there when I'm looking.

Thats the major difference.
I guess its like the market....the demand fluctuates a lot.  I just notice the 69's command a higher price than the other two years..... IMHO

Well I got it for $250, not bad in todays inflated prices, I figure just to find an tic-toc tach would cost about that. I then can sell off the rest or just hold onto the other gauges. Thanks

Mine only has the three slots on the left,..   no Hazard switch at all... I had often wondered why mine has only three, when everyone else seems to have four... So any other '69s have only three?.. when i found my charger the hazard switch was just hangin below the dash where the flasher switch  was supposed to be..
I wonder if because mine is such a late buld date if they ran out of '69 SE facias and used a '70?.   ???

Hmm...I doubt that.
Can you imagine the salesman showing you your new Charger......

"And see this switch dangling here?  Well thats your hazzard switch.  Too bad the factory "ran out" of 69 clusters and slapped this 70 style in there........"

Its a fairly easy fix strato.....just a new bezel is all you will need

;D when i recovered my wood grain I had to get more wood grain and cover the hole, getting the grain to kind'a sorta match was a real pain but i managed to do it cause all that damn rosewood woodgrain uses the same pattern... cheesy but true..  :P
