hi guys
i am about to purchase 18x8 fronts and 19x10 rears,  intro penita, my question is (if some one can help) as my front end is not together for measurements , can some please tell me what back spacing i would need for the front rims in an 18x8 rim,
the rear is in and i have all the measurements (backspacing)
thank you for your help

I went with 18" X 8" with 4.5" back spacing.  They fit almost perfect, with enough clearance between the fender and tire, but the upper control arm gets pretty close to the rim/tire when the suspension is fully extended and turned hard over.  I don't think it rubs at all anywhere though.  I suppose if I was going to do it over again 4.25" back spacing would be perfect.  Disclaimer:  I would put some of the front suspension together and measure before putting down the money on what must be custom wheels.  Good luck

metallicareload99, I like your car, think you mentioned it was your daily driver?
Would like to see some more pics of that car...

Thanks a lot Hemidog, it is indeed my daily driver!  I'm really pleased with the wheels, I think they really add to the look of the 1968 Charger, even if mine isn't the nicest example.  If I recall correctly you had some 20" wheels on your Charger?  I thought about going that big on the rears, but didn't think that I could pull it off.  I have a few more pics here, but most are old and they are poorly organized

DODGEY68... I know this is very old thread, but curious if you ever put on the 18" x 8 front and 19" x 10 rear wheels?  I am thinking of same combo and would like to see them on a 2nd gen charger.

the rears were 19x10, 5" bs, and fronts 18x8 4.5 bs,,

thanks...do you happen to have any pics with them on the charger.  As they say a picture is worth a thousand words.  I am looking to get as close to the outside of the wheel well without rubbing and very little space above the tire showing from a straight on side view.  I have seen them on different cars, but it is not the same thing as seeing them on your exact make and model.

I have removed the inside fender wall thingy in the rear tubs also , the front used to rub a little with a passenger but I lifted it a little and now bugger all if none front tyre rub either
and once the 295's wear out I have a set of 305 ready to go on

That does sit real pretty like that!  How hard was it to remove that thingy in the tub,
and how hard was it to patch?
