Well, I am going to start a thread to update those who might give a damn. For those that don't know the story, I lost a great friend last month and I sold my Impala to buy his Charger that he loved. It was in an accident in 5 years ago and needs some work to get back on the road.
Check out this thread for details:

I will start this thread with my new pics from this weekend.

^ Check out the Student Driver sticker! :D What a character Jake was.

^ I forgot that Jake found a new bumper and good news it has Grills and they are in great shape just need to be painted.

^pardon these pics I was in the car when I took them.

^ from the wreck

Just reaffirms I am making the right move turning it into a Super Bee tribute.

Look at those floors! Cali Cars FTW!

^ I know the rims need to go!

^ This was cool! In 8th grade shop class we made tool boxes. This is Jakes tool box that he made. I have one just like it. it is now mine and will stay with the car.

Look how clean this car is! Most Minnesota mopars of this era were rust buckets under here. Cali cars Rock!

And it wouldn't be right if Scotty didn't give his trademark pose.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, but don't worry I made your horn louder."

What a sad story but it is pretty cool what you are doing.   Good luck with it!

BTW, I thought I'd share this. When I was tracking the car down, all I knew was he sold it to someone he worked with, and one person said his boss. I Called his last job (he was laid off about 6 mos ago) and the secretary sent me to his boss' voicemail. I left a message with my story and that I was looking for the car.

The boss had no idea what I was talking about, but well he was listening to the voice mail some one was in the room who remembered that Jake sold it to this Ted guy. Well it seems Ted got laid off as well at the same time (union Shop). That started a chain of phone calls that led to the owner. He then called me and Agreed to sell it. If that isn't divine intervention I don't know what is.

Also, I was driving back to MN on friday night to sell my impala. I was doubting whether that was a good idea or not. I really liked that car. Well I saw 7 different Chargers from a 69 to a 73-4.  If that wasn't a sign I don't know what is.

Maybe, I am reading too much into it, but I like to think Jake was helping me the whole way.

This project is the culmination of many pieces to a puzzle being assembled. Things have a way of making sense to you but might not to others, but that's okay as long as some people get it. Fulfill your destiny. :yesnod:
Under construction 1973 Charger SE/RT resto-mod.

yep. it is titled as a 74 but thanks to you and the VIN it turns out it was a 73. it was assembled in 4/73 so that might be where the DMV got confused.
