Ok, the 472 in the new General I just bought isn't running a PCV valve, but I noticed both breathers sitting in the valve covers is on top of a long (2-3") shaft. Where do I put a PCV Valve on this motor??

Sorry for the stupid question, I just want to make sure I'm setting it up right.

Thanks

i don't use PCV valves in any of my motors, just double breathers like yours. :yesnod:

Ok, and you've never had any problem? My breathers seem to see a lot of blow-by action, I just assumed a PCV would help the motor breath a bit better??

no problems.mine also have a little smoke-steam coming out of them.its not bad.one little problem i had,was under accleration oil would seep out of the breather.i fixed it by swaping valve cover sides,so that both breathers are at the front.
i like to make the most power i can and i dont like to dilute the intake charge with crankcase oil vapor.i also run alot of compression, with any oil or vapor in the chamber,it would be more likely to detonate. :drive:
