904 flex plate question

I bought an aftermarket flex plate for my 360.  It is a B&M.  I had it put on with my engine build.  I am currently mounting the tranny to the block.  My question has to do with clearance.   There is maybe about 1/8 of an inch clearance between the head of the flex plate mounting bolt to the cam shaft slug (little circle in the casting rear of block for cam shaft).  Is this normal?  Is this enough clearance?  Do the make mounting bolts that have a "shorter"  less thick bolt head for this purpose?

Make sure your converter is seated all the way back or you will shred the shaft.

The flexplate bolt clearance is tight, that's why the factory bolts have a thinner head.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
