Bought a 2005 Ram and....

Hi guys,

I bought a beautiful 2005 Dodge Hemi Ram in West Palm Beach in May this year.
Man i was so in love with this car,and i needed another truck for my business here in The Netherlands.
So i bought it and have it shipped from Miami to Rotterdam where i've finally picked it up on the 15th of August.
I was so excited afther almost 3 months of waiting,so i took a half day off of work to get her.
Coming there,the first thing i've noticed was that my toneau cover was missing,and there are scratches and dents all over.
Now i have the evidence that my car was delivered to the port in Miami,and the toneau cover was allready gone,and the sratches and dents were on when it arrived there.
I asked the guy where i bought it from if he could arrange transport from West Palm Beach to Miami,and he agreed he could do this for a extra fee from $400.00 usd.So i've paid him this amount extra together with the price from the car.
The guy i bought the car from said my truck was in exellent condition when it left.
So now i've emaild and called several times about this matter,but the only reply i get is from the shipping company who is saying that they received it like this.The guy where i bought it from has given no replies on my email whatsoever,exept that he's sorry to hear my truck is damaged.

Sorry to hear of the stolen equipment on your Dodge Ram. The Ram was in perfect condition when I shipped it to your shipping company. The dents must have come from the container or something because that truck was in excellent condition.

Dear John, Please find pictures attached.  This is EXACTLY how we received the vehicleand shows everything prior to shipping that has been pointed out overseas.Please contact the seller for any items which you feel should have beenshipped. When were those pictures taken? If I were the guy selling the truck I would have taken dated photos of the truck prior to releasing it to the shipping company so there was proof of its condition. I would see if the seller can prove the truck as in good shape so you can go after the shipping company if need be. At least they should have insurance.

Not sure why someone would steal a toneau cover anyway.
