Dome Light always stays on?

Hi Guys,

So I took the Charger for a cruise the other day to my work so people could see the car.  Parked the car, moved it a few times in the parking lot...and then on the way back i noticed my dome light and under dashpad light just continually stayed on.  They were working just fine before and would turn off when the doors closed.  Not sure why they are not turning off now with the door closed, and not sure what the heck happened to cause this.  I did check the little pressure sensors in each door to see if it was stuck, but it does "function" correctly by going in and out (sorry for my lack of property terminology here)  Anyways,  I had to disconnect the battery when I got home to not drain it.   What are your thoughts here???

Thanks!

didn't you change the dome bulb ? if you did... sure you get the right 1004 bulb ?

check the dimmer function on lights switch is not completelly spined to max. Maybe you tried to get the cluster light at max and accidentally went completely to top, where you activate the dome light. It does happened to my cousin on its dart, since quite often, switches are so sensible that you don't feel the CLICK on rotation dimmer.

What year is your charger? There is actually a switch on the lamp under the dash to turn it ON when the car is not running. Perhaps you just need to switch the lamp off. Sorry for being obvious but thought it was worth asking.

if BOTH lites are affected, it's probably a switch problem, either one of the little door jamb pushies, or (proabaly) the headlite switch rheostat function...have a spare headlite switch to try?
