Am I the only person flustered by the fact you could not get a 1969 Road Runner Coupe in A4 silver with a tan interior ?   :shruggy:

Hey Barry, spent quite a bit of time on the site last night, and was really liking it.

Had one question for you though.

The section that is "Articles" that answers the question of how many cars per day did the two factories build in 1970. You break it down by VIN's listing 100001 as the first for each plant, and then 160091, and 443001 as the two highest VIN's. So when you break them down as to how many cars per day, I think that you might have over looked one thing. The VIN's are not supposed to duplicate from plant to plant, however as we all know some did. Question is that it appears you used the highest subtracted the first known 100001 and came up with the totals, and didn't take into consideration the possible overlay from plant to plant.

Each plant did start at 100001 though.  ;)

It is possible that two cars could have the exact same VIN except for the plant code.

Chris at the 1969 Charger Registry has examples of two Chargers, exact same VIN exept one is from St. Louis and one is from Hamtramck.  :yesnod:

I realize that there are a few that repeat, but I was always under the impression that they tried not to do that. I realize that there are a few exception to everything though. Just was wondering.
