Hey gang,
After the Carlisle show I stopped in for a visit with Tom Race at R/T Specialties. He has more NOS and used parts than a 454 can throw a rod at, it was amazing to see.

Tom gave me a HUGE box of dealership records from the L. L. Richardson Dodge dealership in Dallas, PA. The records rage from the 1930s to 1974 from what I have seen so far. I am estimating that there are records for approximately 3000 cars, everything from 6 bangers to 440-6 cars. The information is a real treat to see.

Due to the extra large donation of records, it will take me quite a while to get them all sorted out by VIN, model year and assembly plant. As I get each model year sorted out I will be listing them all in the "found" section of www.hamtramck-historical.com so that the legal owners of the cars can claim them.

For those of you I know with other Registries, I will have some information for several of you once I get to the cars you track.

I am going to have to buy at least two new filing cabinets and hundreds of file folders & page protectors to safely store these, so if anyone would like to make a monetary donation to help with that please let me know?

Thank you Tom for all of us!

Barry, that is quite the score!! I'm sure all the various registries would love the data and hopefully we can all reunite owners with records. Great job Barry

Congrats on the paperwork. I know that I'd be spending hours pouring through it if I had it. That is until my wife would come in and scream about how much paperwork I already have stashed all over the place.

Hey guys,
I still have a lot to do with these, but the first batch of records were just added to the found section, 257 new entries, mostly Dodge cars from 1968 - 1974.

Yes, there are some Chargers.  ;)

Happy hunting!

Awesome Barry!

Gotta take the time to browse your site more often.
While checking the 69 St. Louis plant I did notice you had "XS29L9B185512" in there....typo or an actual Hamtramck car?

Good catch Chris!

I did typo it. It is a St. Louis car, so it is in the right section at least.

I just emailed my webmaster so he can change it. I think you have a copy of the broadcast sheet for it? If not, let me know and I can add it to your "other" mail.  ;)
