Here's some pictures of me and my brother with the "Cable Tool" drilling rig my grandpa owned and operated from the 70's into the early 90's...it is built on a 49 ford 2 ton truck by a company out of Chanute Kansas. Me and my brother are donating it to the Gas and Oil Museum in Eldorado Kansas in memory to our grandfather. According to the man who we contacted this is the last one out of the 16 or so built by this company (i forget the name off the top of my head)  This rig drilled many wells here in southeast kansas, now hopefully it will get the respect it deserves.
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

thats good its being saved an not scraped :2thumbs:

Thats pretty slick. It will fit in at the Kansas Oil Museum at El Dorado. Thats where we used to hold our Charger Fever shows at the last 10 years. The old guy that is the grounds keeper will take good care of it.
