Finished !

It took me a little over 70 hrs (maybe I'm slow?). I had a good piece to start with, only a few cracks but all the stud holes are good.

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Hmm, If a Body shop did that & charged $50 a hour at 70 hours comes out to $3,500 :o Wonder how many guys in here would pay that much :scratchchin: Looks like you saved yourself some big bucks. LEON.

Did that ever come out nice!

Thanks all for the kind words.

I thought of that too. Knowing that I take my time, I would have price it by the job and not the hour. Plus the cost of all the materials. Also with the time, the 70hrs was spread over many, many weeks.

There is something the feels good about doing it yourself too, (all you posts!) that money cant buy.

I'm going to do another one and see if I can take some pics along the way to post a "HOW TO DO"... When I have time

That looks great Johnny. Good job! I will be waiting for the "How To" post. I have a hood with the insert that looks about as good as the one you started with. If it comes out looking half as good as yours I would be happy. :2thumbs:
