Just 6T9 CHGR

Caught this link & thought it was pretty cool.  Sold on eBay back in Feb. for almost 230k...proceeds going to charity.

A dealer in Manassas, VA took delivery for the new owner & snapped a lot of pics
Undercarriage shots show the signatures of the build team & came with an extra hood signed by the "King" himself

Unbelievable.  Manassas  Chrysler Plymouth. Looks like it's Dodge now.  I used to work right across the street from there in 84'(yorkshire truck parts stamping brake shoes) before I got a job at Fairfax Chrysler Plymouth.  My buddy TJ Henderson transferred to Manassas and was the top mech in the Washington Metro area for at least one year that I know of. Here is a pic of the car he and I built(right behind that very building) before I joined the Navy.
Sorry for the reminisce but dang what a small world!

A lot of top names raced at ODS(Old Dominion Speedway) back in the day.  1964, I believe "the king" was there.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Ahh crap! my memory just kicked in.  Manassas Dodge was on Liberia Ave about 2 miles away.  Still a small world though. :slap:
