I was house sitting for my cousin and found this in her back yard. The 383 was in the shed being rebuilt (forgot to get pics of it). The car was complete when she bought it for $400 and the engine ran when pulled.

They just had one of those in the "Rare Finds" section of the Mopar magazine. It was a 4 door with a 4 speed on the floor (factory). Definately a weird combo.

Sadly the plans for the car is being "restored" to a pimp like state and then driven across Canada....

looks like the motor was pulled , because of the failed factory nylon covered timing gear teeth  & probably blocked the pick up :rotz:

My family used to ride in one of those years and years ago. It was a nice family car.

We had a green one when I was a kid and I even did a tune up on it and then it wouldn't run.  I had to call my " Uncle Johnny" to look at it.  What was wrong was the distributor was 180 off and he had to turn the rotor around 180, or something like that.  He said i did it right but the person before me didn't, I felt a little better after that. :icon_smile_wink:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Looks like scrap iron imo.  If it's not a B or E body RUN away fast.

:scratchchin: IMO.. that is a rediculous statement, you hate A-bodies too..  :shruggy: wasn't the bacarudda an A-body?..  :slap:

I disagree, I found a 440magnum in a 69 New Yorker..... car was coded for it..... the guy thought it was a plain 440 as "dem car only had dose low horse metrs in 'em"   untill I had it paid for and loaded on the truck,,,, heehehehehehe.....

This car was passed over many a time in the yard by MANY "mopar" people becasue it was a new yorker...... Guess they missed this one BIG TIME.

I just favor the B and E bodies.  But everyone does not have the same taste as me.  I can respect that.
