Well all,
The lizards all packed up for my 4 day trip to the coast for the Seaside, Oregon muscle car cruize. Me and my daughter leave tomorrow. Man! The car is packed. Mainly because I'm only in the hotel for two days in Seaside and then we cruize up the coast to Ocean shores, Wa. for two days of camping there. These Chargers really were not meant to load up for a 4 day trip on the road were they....lol. I have that trunk stuffed and the back seat! Should be fun though and it looking like the weathers going to be very nice for the trip.

I'll be sure to post lots of pics for you all to check out later after I get back home.

See you in a few days. Wish me luck for a good safe and fun trip. Should be.:2thumbs:

You should pack light like this guy!

Sounds like you remembered the kitchen sink, that's good. :2thumbs: ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

You will have fun. It looks like the weather is getting better.

There is a guy with a black 70 charger 500 that usually there. I thought in another thread that Dane said he would be there with the Daneclona. And Superbird Jeff is usually there with  his 19000 mile original Limelight superbird.....

Should be a good time....I still wish I could go.

Kinda hard to do with a female 15 year old teenage daughter going along. You know how teens are and I need to make sure I have plenty enough along to keep her having fun. They get bored easily at that age with dad.   ::)

I went there in the summer of '93 and 2001 w/my '69 SE charger. There is a Light House that you can climb to the top, 175 stairs if I remember correctly. Weather was awesome, had a blast. There was a guy in 2001 that had a blue '68 or '69 RoadRunner and a '70 orange Super Bee w/a 383 tunnel ram next to the high way just before Seaside on the left, brown house. He had 3 old  black and white Aries K police cars sitting next to his place. Steve is the guys name. Have fun!!!
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Maybe this isn't so stupid after all!!!
Good luck

Well I'm back.

Man what a great trip and what an awesome ride there and back.

The lizard made the trip without any issues what so ever. Made me proud. I found myself just kickin back almost mesmerized by the engine 440 purr at 70 mph a number of times. Car was ran awesomely.

I'll start off with this pic first-

This was taken from my daughter during the cruize when I just went around the roundabout and was heading back in from the beach.

Cool town and they really put on a teriffic show and a great cruize at the end of the show. A definate must for anyone who has not been to it before.

I did run into Dane down there and his yellow daytona and his son was there too with another charger and I also met a cool guy named Dave with a blue 70 charger 500. We all parked together  :2thumbs:

Looks like a good time....

I cant believe your daughter is 15 already. The last time I saw her she was something like 4' tall.

One question.... Why do they drive the round-about on the wrong side of the road?

Because everyone was parked on broadway facing west and broadway is a one way street. about a block up from the round about they had an intersection that was two lane from there to the roundabout and it was easier to just have everyone from the show continue in the left lane to the west and turn left after they hit that intersection to continue around for another run.

I thought it was pretty neat going the wrong way there.

I put a post on the events section looking for someone to drive along side with a month ago but got no response. Oh well. I usually try to post something there if I'm planning a long trip somewhere.  :2thumbs:

I finally calculated my milage from the trip seeing that I put the 3:23 sure grip gears in last winter. It avaraged out to around 13 mpg. I guess thats pretty good for a 440 right :shruggy:
