Buying online woes

Bought something off an online retailer. I pay $30 on top of the normal $40 shipping for priority mail. The item arrives a week later and its the wrong one and on top of that the sticker from the post office states it was only $50 to ship. So the next day I ship it back after we agreed he would refund me shipping. He gets the item 6 days later yet takes another 2 before telling me he has it.

Says he will get his business partner to ship out the item. For the past two weeks it hasn't arrived and I asked for a tracking number almost everyday. Seller tells me its been shipped and he'll get the number from his partner.

Finally today I get the number only to find out the item was shipped two days ago and by regular mail instead of the priority I paid for. I sent him an email asking for an explanation and a refund on the extra $30 and instead get a rude email back saying that Im SOL and to just live with it. Says since he had to pay me back the $50 for priority shipping back that instead of regular (which takes two weeks) that I don't get that $30 back.

How about naming the culprit, that way others don't get ripped off.  Have you tried contacting the Better Business Bureau.  I don't know if they could actually get you your money back, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Good luck!!
