If a person were to use a 68 Charger to build a dirty Mary crazy Larry clone would it accepted as correct? Most everyone remembers the movie and the 69 Charger. They did use a 68 Charger as well. Here`s a pi of it.

I'm still considering it for mine. My cars got the 440 and slotted mags. And my name is Larry.

Larry, it sounds like your destiny. I`m building a bullitt clone. If I had the funds I`d like to build clones of all the Mopar movie cars. High on my list would be the 68 Charger in the movie Christine.

Its your car, do whatever you please with it. Personally I don't see why anyone would want to make their car to look like a copy of another car. Invent something new, why copy someone else.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you say on your cardomain page, that you want your car to look exactly like the one in your sig line? Hmmm  :scratchchin:

The only hang up I see on a 68 is the side marker lights. I don't like where they would be in conjunction with the stripe. Might half to do the DOH trick and fill in the hole's.

But if you were going to worry enough about authenticity to fill in marker lights, you may as well get a 69.  You're right about how they might look with the stripe squeakfinder but I think the car would be better served to leave them in there in case it is sold someday and someone wants to return it's appearance.  :Twocents:

No I don't. Guy actually painted HIS car similar color combo that my Charger came from FACTORY. So if anyone is copying someone it would be builder of that car. On a side note, he's missing black vinyl top to look like my Charger did from factory.
