Well - here are some more pics from today people!  Hope ya'll like them

Here is the painted engine bay - making tape is because of undercoating being sprayed in the wheel wells and inner firewall (pic 2)




Here are the drip-rails (or lack of rather)   I am EXTREMELY happy with how these turned out



Another small deviation from stock...    the bumble bee striped were painted on - I also had the rear panel painted the same color...   I felt black was too much of a contrast with the white...   so I went with a metallic grey color and again VERY pleased with this color combo.




They were going to mount the doors, fenders, and hood Monday while tomarrow they spray the trunk and interior floors and I should be picking my car Tuesday

I painted her blue in very early 2004...     seems like forever ago...         been through the stock 318, a 360, a 383, a 440, a 512 stroker, and now the 6.1L is going to go in - in the last 4 years the car has been on the road for about 4 hours....     never complete...    just got it so it ran...    never had it the way I wanted it...      decided to bite the bullet and just go all out...   I'm glad I decided to paint her white again...   all my good memories from high school was with her being white...         should be a nice car when i get her done.

too bad the color and drivetrain changes didn't work out, i think this new color combo with the "minor tweaks" will be pretty much killer.
I though you painted it blue a little over a yr ago...

Wow, your grey stripe looks great against the white.     It's cool to have a car that is a little different.  I'm sure your car will be awesome when you are finished.  Please...keep us posted.

Like the color, and the shaved driprails ( i thought i was the only one that really wanted my car white, but i am proven wrong!!) Looking forward to see it with the wheels on!!

The paint alone for my Charger (epoxy, filler, base, clear, reducer) will cost right around $2,000 before it even gets mixed or goes into a gun

Yep -  I asked him to spray the interior and trunk floors with something just for rust protection - I asked for white but he forgot and sprayed black rhino liner...     He said he would fix it if i wanted but i said that it wasnt a big deal...    I mean this isnt exactly a concorse restoration...    would have to add the driprails back for that...      he also rhino lined the entire bottom of the car as well...     all an all i think i got a smoking deal for the $5000

Alex, did you fill in the holes for the belt molding on the tops of the doors as well?  Nothing going back on there?

Chris - yep - filled those holes too...      The belt moulding has that curved piece at the end that blends into the drip rail...    did not see another way of getting rid of the drip-rails without getting rid of the belt moulding so it is gone...       


Today I just installed the taillights and associated trim...     spent most of the day working on the Satellite...   got it running by fixing some fuel leaks and also fixed a minor electrical gremlin that had to do with the vert top...
