Last year while I was back in my old hometown in upstate New Hampshire I decided to bring my camera along in case I happened to run across any moose and get a few pics. Well I didn't see any moose but I did run across this 69 Roadrunner while I was their.

That's about as redneck as it gets. Looks like they use it for tractor pulls. :P

YEA, that looks like a planetary driven rear used in Tractor/truck or in this case car pulling?  I guess, again I did not own the car, but I cannot understand doing that to a car.  Then again, I have a 70 charger that is chopped up as a drag car, so I am sure some people dont like that either.

An interesting point about your Charger Tom.  Somehow though, cars cut up for drag racing are more acceptable.  With all of them I guess an argument could be made depending on when the cutting up occured.  As these cars get harder to find, chopping becomes less socially allowed.

Well the cutting up was not done by me, and was done 7 years ago, that get me off the hook?

The engine in your avatar probably gets you off the hook.  ;)

that is quite "different" looks like some amount of work was involved removing and moving the rear wheel houses back about two feet...

Where I grew up, it was truck pulls & demolition derbies.

This RR was built by a dude I used to work with.  He always did good and at this event won.  The other guys protested cause technically it wasn't a truck.  My scanner's junk so it's a pic of a pic.

I like it ....kinda ... would look better with a blower threw the hood .

Personally I dig it, love it. Because its like a lot of things. You didn't see a whole heck of a lot of these cars actually modified even years ago, and now as soon as someone new buys them, they go straight out and do a restoration that takes away all of the creative mods, which takes it back to yet another stock vehicle. What is wrong with a few that really stand out in a crowd?
