No new photos, the car is at home and awaiting us to paint/cavity wax/body deaden the cabin/underbody. She will be painted by early January at this point and then the fun will commence.

I have found a gentleman who knew of our car parked as a wreck in Chalfont, PA around 1976 - 1979. It sat beside a house for about 3 years as you left the township of Chalfont heading north. This gentleman has a friend who believes he knows who's car it was. The owner is believed to have passed away, but his son is still around town so just waiting to hear back....

First of all, Merry Christmas and a Mopar new year!

Car has been home for a while now and been awaiting the attention it deserves. Everyone's busy at this time of the year, and it's nice to finally get something done. Kicked the 55 Ford Delivery out of the way and brought in the Daytona. A lot of sealing and sanding and the car's starting to return to it's former glory now that it has some colour returning to it. We have cavity waxed the subframe, sealed and painted the wheel arches, underbody, trunk, front/rear firewall and parcel shelf in anticipation of the car going to the shop. Spoke to the painter today and we will be dropping the Daytona off early in the new year, he has a 69 Camero, 56 Ford pickup and a Holden Sandman Panelvan awaiting him so no hurry.

We'll be #1 on the concourse Police's wanted list once these photo's are seen...

Enjoy.

mmm F6 on......progress looking good.  Curious, I guess the car is an uncoating car, but you are choosing to only coat the wheel wells or what?  Are you using the goopy undercoating more "correct" stuff or some the spray on bedliner product.  Ideally in the spring I will be where you are at now and I am intending on using spray on bedliner, see any negatives to doing that?  I like what you got going on there, I plan to duplicate the lines on my car, paint vs undercoating, one or the other no bare metal (I can post a orig pic if you like)

Gtxreme, very interesting to hear that. My understanding was once crashed, it went to Patiks barn in Iowa. Then onto Tom in NY. The card was for a lawyer in PA I'll dig up the details and post them this evening.. When/where was it sitting a couple of towns over from you? Cheers, Tim.

The car sat behind a house outside in Ronkonkama, Long Island for years. i remember seeing it i englistown with a pretty price tag on it too.  I wish i had some pics of it from when it was sitting outside.

looking real sweet, nice and straight

The 55 Ford delivery may surprise you .  Its not to Daytona standard I did it all myself but all the rust is gone,   R/H/Drive cowl from a local sedan, new inner and outer sills, patch panels up both sides .  And less than a tin of bondo to get it looking OK.    Tims Dad  John

Nice pics Tim. Looking forward to seeing some more progress shots, and catching up with you in person some time.

We arrive over there 28th Jan. The 500 will follow later in the year.
