Buy what you need when you need it.  It's difficult to tell you what to buy unless we know where you're at in your restoration.

before you buy anything else ..if it were me  ..get all new harnesses from Yeat one ..

Agree. Little short on details.

I also agree...replace your harness' with new ones. Expensive but worth it. No way will I risk my car with 40 year old wiring.

I agree
I tried to use my old harness that was already melted in some spots.
I repaired the bad wires and still had major problems.
When the smoke started comeing out from under the dash, I decided it was time to install a new harness.

for beginners replace all the wiring, seals, rubber parts and wear components. your prolly gonna want to remove and refurbish or get all new fasteners and clips as well.new gas tank and sending unit, suspension components.

Id divide car in sections to work on and go on from there. Like if youre restoring grille get paint for it, emblems, hardware, etc. and once its completed put it away and move onto next section of the car.

Don't buy anything at first. Start tearing the car down and see what your gonna need first. I bought the metal - Trunk, quater, glass channel etc. I started out with a rotissorie then had it blasted. Of course if you have an unlimited budget buy, buy buy. Things are not gonna get any cheaper.
