I can't remember the details as this is an era I really dislike and pay little attention to, but I believe it started as this jump:

If you are referring to the light blue car on top, that is NOT a Cuda. The trunk & 1/4's are way to long to be a Cuda. It looks like an early Olds Cutlass, mid-60's era. It appears to be a full-frame vehicle, & note the blacked-out firewall & full frame.

If you are referring to the light blue car on top, that is NOT a Cuda. The trunk & 1/4's are way to long to be a Cuda. It looks like an early Olds Cutlass, mid-60's era. It appears to be a full-frame vehicle, & note the blacked-out firewall & full frame.

You're right, the Cuda would end maybe 1' back from the wheelwell and the area by the rear windows doesn't go up. My bad.

It's a first generation Camaro or Firebird.  They have very similar roof lines to the 70-74 E bodies.

LEE1 wasn't the only GL with rocker mouldings, you notice this time from time the car still has rocker mouldings, just painted orange. I guess its correct to say Lee1 was the only general with Natural looking mouldings.

Are you reffering as LEE1 like the number one GL ? wasn't the fisrt general the 383 recently restored after bought on ebay between woods ?

Yeah Lee1 is the one your talking about, I was just pointing out the fact that the RT pictured had rocker mouldings on it too, like lee1, only painted orange. Every now and then on the show you see a general with rocker mouldings, painted orange. I was just pointing out that lee1 wasn't the only general with rocker mouldings, it just isn't as noticable because other generals besides lee1, were painted to match the car.

I believe there were only two GL's with the rocker trim. Everytime I have seen the orange painted rocker car, it is the same R/T. It did get fixed up a few times in its life, so you will see dents disappear.

That was an interesting time in GL history. The Veluzat's were really cutting corners at this time. Almost every car had some chrome piece painted orange. There was a vinyl trim painted orange car, wheel well trim painted car, and even a 1968 side marker painted over orange car. I have an actual picture somewhere of them building a GL and they are painting the tailpanel black. They are spraying right over the taillghts and everything.

Jim, check out the bad-guy GL that they rolled at the end of "Double Dukes" in early season #4.  (Not the '68 sitting upside down afterwards that the actors climb out of, and not the beat-up GL in Hazzard Square on the backlot.  Just the actual pipe-ramping stunt car.)


It's the death of an orange-rocker'd car. 

If the Valuzets repaired the first one after the inital "carnival" wreck then it's probably the same car.  If I remember right, when it rolls in DD it's also got a passenger fender from the off-roader conversions in season #2.  And you can see that one of the rear quarters is obviously a replaced panel as it crunches.

Huge Duke fan but I vote firmly to STOP KILLING CHARGERS ALREADY (yes I know those are old pics).  The last I checked they aren't making them anymore and Dynacorn wasn't about to start.  So while I don't get mad that the dukes killed a bunch, its like jumping a 1999 model car today, no great loss, its no longer 1978 and Chargers are worth too much.  Especially when I haven't been lucky enough to buy one yet
