In need of a good side shot of the original hood  ...   I've seen some totally blacked out (like mine is now), but I believe the catalog has cut outs around the emblems !!! My hood had a sticker made when it was last painted and I'd like to go back to original., which was painted when I repaint..... I know you can get the side stripes...

Thanks
MOM

I believe that the hood blackout is supposed to be painted on.

Go to www.phoenixgraphix.com and look at item (ct3082). That looks like the one you need.

Charged

As a side note:

I once owned an old '79 T-Bird. I traced a T-bird emblem and took the drawing to a sign shop that makes various signs for businesses. They turned that drawing into a giant decal that covered nearly the entire back window of that car. It cost me $25. The same concept could be applied to the Chargers hood decal, or anything else in fact.

If you clear coat the hood after the decal is applied, you wont feel the decals edge, nor will it look like one...but it will no longer be flat/matte black as the clear will have a sheen to it.
