I have gone through a lot of rough spots with this car since I bought it.  I bought it for my GF since this is her favorite car (71 Charger).  From getting screwed by the people who sold it to me, to almost losing my GF over it (since it leaked gasoline from the new gas tank and the whole house smelled like Exxon for 2 days, as well as how much work it actually needed and how many problems arose after we fixed those probelms), to sinking in a bunch of money I didnt expect to spend and depleting my bank account, etc etc.

The car still needs a LOT of work, but things are good at home now.  The GF now looks at the car in the garage and says, "The more I see her, the more I like her now."  I am starting to do some really basic engine work and some body work as well now.  Things arent even close to being done, but its a project and we are both OK with that.

Anyway, the point of all this is... without talking with you guys, and getting advice and help with everything, I would have lost my mind.  You guys have helped me save a lot of money on parts, helped me find problems on my own (and fix them), and helped me to deal with this process in general.  I really appreciate what you guys (and girls) have done for me so far.  If you're even in the Long Island NY area, let me know.  Beers and food are waiting for ya!

Glad to hear things are looking up for your project. That's also good that the GF has decided it's cool too...after all, that's half the battle for most guys. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

When the car is capable of that kind of drive, remind me and we will show up!  LOL
