If I go grocery shopping with my wife, all I do is push the cart and look at the car magazines. My wife always asks me when am I going to do the grocery shopping. I just shrug my shoulders and tell her she is better at it then me.

I used to know how to shop for groceries. :shruggy:

I try to conserve & not waste & what does she do & at night , take on sip and then leaves it by the night stand. :brickwall:
It must be the way they are hard wired, to waste & drain my wallet.

Ok i've got another one, the cheese story and it goes like this:   :popcrn:

My spouse and i were engaged to be married and she moved in with me a few months before the wedding.  We are now grocery shopping "together" and i had no idea what was about to change my life forever.  First of all, you dont start at one end of the store, buzz down every isle in an orderly fashion, grab what you need and get out of there.  No, you need to zig zag around the store getting a few things here, a few things there.   :brickwall:

Anyways, we walk into the grocery store, and i see a cheese display and i say, hey we need cheese, here is a 1/2 pound block for $5.  She flips out on me and says, oh my god thats way too much to pay for cheese.  So i say, but its priced by the pound and i think thats a good deal.  Later on after zig zagging thru the store we get to the dairy section and she grabs two 1/4 pound blocks of cheese for $2.50 each.  She tells me, see, these are a better deal.   :shruggy:

I start to explain that two 1/4 pounds are equal to 1/2 pound and that $2.50 twice is $5..... but i could see that i was going nowhere fast and just shut my mouth.  Now i avoid grocery shopping alltogether.. :icon_smile_big:

If I were in your place that day, I don't know if I would have gotten out of the store without a kick to the groin for what I might have said to her.

I never thought about till now, My wife does the same thing.  :rotz:

Charger_Fan

My Wife does the same thing, but not routinely...however, if a glass of water or a can of pop ever actually get emptied, it's a friggin' miracle! :o For that matter, she usually does the same thing with food...eats everything but the last two bites.

"Why don't you finish that?"
"Because I'm full."
"But it's only two bites!
"I'm full."
"<groan>"

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

If wasted water is the thing that pisses you off the most about your wife, you got a great wife.

As far as the drinks go, I have the same problem. I tell my 2 girls they can either finish the drink or I can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I hate seeing full cans of pop(soda for those who don't live near Pittsburgh PA) sitting around going flat.  My wife does the same thing but I don't say anything because...well....you know....

As far as shopping goes, when we started shopping together I had to explain chocolate is not a food group and vegetables are not lethal!!!

what i did on the half bottle of water laying around was grab it and head for the garage. i figured bottled water was cleaner than tap water, so i started filling up antifreeze jugs with it. when i mix antifreeze 50/50, i have clean water to mix it with.  doesnt cure the problem, but some good does come out ot it.

Mine does that with ice cream or various other things.  She leaves two bites left and will NOT finish or throw it away.  With all the weight she's put on, it's hard to believe she passes up finishing eating anything.  :o

I got one...

My Gal sees these chick flick movies all the time, via Netflix,.. anyhow she gets all these "lifechanging" movies,.. i swear all these movies she gets are "lifechanging", she discribes them all the same way recommending I see them or "maybe we can watch them togeather"...
once in a while, I'll be ok with that, sure,..
or how about this one?:..  mid-week she'll come up with all these ambitious plans for the weekend, list about five or six things we can or "should" do this weekend, go to the movies go to the beach go shopping, out to dinner, sometimes all six things in one day,.. or after church on sunday...  but come the weekend, she's too tired maybe one thing gets done, maybe..   :shruggy:

That's the only explanation I've got, 'cause I don't ever seem to catch her naked without planning ahead.  :D
