I posted the same thing last year, so forgive me...but dusting it off and getting it cleaned up really rejuvenates me.  plus my little helpers realy make me remember what it's really all about.

Got mine out today and did some cleaning as well. Only thing is like your kids mine wanted to help too. Which is nice in a way, but then you have to go back over what they did, and touch it up. Then you have to try to explain that to a 4 year old why your going over what they just cleaned.

I hear that.  that's why they help with the chevy.  This way if they drop the sponge on the asphalt driveway and the little pieces stick to it and they give the tahoe some new custom pin striping...it's no tragedy.  They really are great.  The mere mention of washing the cars this morning sent them into a christmas like hysteria.  I think kids just want to be involved in anything you do as a parent.  I always let them help me fix anything around the house. It's a lot harder than just doing it alone because you have to stop, explain, and re do some things they do, but the patience really pays off.  my 7 year old knows what all the tools are now, so now she can hand me whatever I need while I cram my fat ass under a bathroom sink without having to pry myself out.  plus I can't think of another way to spend time with them and still get all of the fixing done around casa de dkn.

and to answer the other member:  YES.  I do understand how lucky i am.  2 great kids with no medical issues and they are great people too.  I have seen enough heartache in this world to know how good I have it.

Not to mention how beautiful they are also.  So cute, great times.  Enjoy.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
