It was a great show on Spike TV as part of a line of shows called "Powerblock" till they got rid of Lou.  Now I dont watch it as much.  I wondered what happend to him. I saw he was push more to the background over the last few months.  He had a great personality for the car lover.  You can tell he is a real car guy and not some talking head.

http://garageinsider.com is going to be his new site once its completed. Its still a work in progress.  This guy knows cars.

I think their all reruns but the last couple of shows Lou and the new guy went over most of the cars they did. kinda like a flash back. my guess is they did it to get us used to this new host. he's a tool from what I've seen.

Yup, Lou was the main reason I watched the show. the guy is simply GOOD at what he does and kept it real and simple. He was a character who kept you interested and was just crazy. So, does anyone one know what went wrong with Lou and RTM productions?

short end of it was that it was all about the taping no days off 7 days a week with no help, thats why jarod left earlier...they were going to get anybody else in there to help him besides bret which wasnt really on the show just a helper..if u notice all the other powerblock shows have 2-3 hosts but not musclecar....

he is moving on the bigger things...yeah he really knows his stuff and is a hoot to watch, wish i was around when u was in the seabees  would have been great times.....

So basically, they were working the poor guy to death and most likely not paying him all that much to begin with and so they had a problem with him when he had the audacity to complain about it.  Is that about right?  :shruggy:

When I was at the RTM studio, they were shooting the final stages of a Le Mans build. From an outsiders point of view, it appeared that very few if any of the crew liked Lou. He seemed to be very aware of it and avoided interacting with anyone. Behind his back people were practically celebrating the fact he was on the way out.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but he was the reason I quit watching the show. Why can't they produce a show that details rebuilding a car an not all the crap that they call "entertainment"?

funny how he was the reason i liked the show that much. especially how when he screwed up, we usually saw that too.

doctorpimp

Lou is a smart guy and great welder, but his voice and enthusiasm were too much for Saturday mornings.  IMO
I actually prefer the Arsonist as the main guy and Lou as the second - IF that's how they're going to be doing the show.

I think the show will stay relevant and be enjoyed by more people, with a less "charasmatic" host...
They still do great work.

At least on this show, they don't use an oxy torch to heat con rods and pistons "cherry red" to press them together like on Horsepower TV's 440 build...

Same here, I never watched it much untill Lou took over. It doesn't seem like many of the others will even admit they make mistakes let alone show them. Not Lou, he'd show you and even laugh about it. Seemed like a good guy and I hope he gets a better gig.

When the show first started, a lot of people didn't realize that Jared worked for Troy Trepanier at Rad Rides By Troy. He helped build the Sick Fish and several other over-the-top cars. I was very disappointed when he left the show. I'm assumng that he went back to work for Troy. That Challenger was heading towards a "sick fish" type of build.
As for Lou, Lou's the kind of guy that I would like to have hanging around my shop. Around here we're usually building musclecars, drag cars or new toys of some type.
He would fit right in.

Lou was a very honest guy on the show...if he knew he couldn't do it he wouldn't pretend that he did or even that he completed the work.  He would honestly say...I don't know how to do such and such and so and so is gonna come in to help.  He is a very down to earth guy...cool as hell.  And passionate for cars.  He even gave hubby career advice as a fellow Seabee.   Wish we could get him to join over here.....Hubby has been talking to him about it for a while, so hopefully soon!

NMike

Lou should go join Stacey on his show, that would be interesting

jayco91

What is Stacey David doing from "Trucks" now anyways? After him they had the gravely voiced guy who is gone and now a couple of new guys. I liked Stace. Had lots of enthusiasm.

NHCharger

Stacey has a new show called "Gearz" or something like that on another cable channel. I have seen parts of it a few times.
The guy with the gravely voice was a former pro wrestler with zero talent, glad he's gone.
