Man for a second there i thought charger prices were going down but it looks like they are maintaining their value. Is it me or does this not seem like an $8,000 car but more like 4-5k............Just curious but i thought that big General Lee Charger boom was just about over with....

I think the pistol grip is worth more than that 68 ;D

You would pay $4,000-5,000 for that?????      :image_294343:

I'm really hoping/praying that the prices will come down soon. Then maybe I'll finally be able to get my hands on one.

There are still bargains out there they are just getting harder and harder to find.

The only reason i said 4-5k is because i havent found a decent rolling shell for less than $3k and this one has a 383 and the four speed stuff is worth a pretty penny so thats why i said 4-5k

Humm, wonder if he dug it up from the cematary across the street?

Parts are worth more than the body, rust free Charger fender seem to bring $800.00 here lately.

I don't think he will get that for the Charger, I would say $3,000.00 to $4,000.00 on a good day with out the parts. But then again, you never know.

i bought the car for $3000, so i definitely think it's worth that. he bought that car from me, very nice guy. and he's just trying to get his money back plus the cost of shipping it to maine($1500), the $500 rust free 68 fender, and his 4 speed parts.. no need to rip the car or the guy... he's just trying to break even. he may, he may not. to each his own. is the car with the parts WORTH 8k? maybe not, but you put a price on ebay to try and get what you want right?? is the car worth 3-4k without the parts? of course it is. find another needing that kind of work for any less.. 68-70.. i sold a parts car incomplete for $2250 3 weeks ago. made this car look like a daily driver

no i understand what you said, and i also reason with your posting the message.. i'm gearing more towards the remarks of it's junk and not worth more than some of the parts. to each his own....
and you're right about charger prices.. they may end up coming down, but not to where a car of that caliber only brings 1000 like the good old days. just the truth

Wow, i feel REAL good when I go downstairs to look at my unfinished hulk of a 68 - that POS makes my R/T look like a trailer queen, and I paid nowhere near what that kooks asking. -dm

Trav, look's like I was right in there with the $3000 to $4000 with out the parts. Yes, there are steals out there like 41 husk's. He bought 2 68 Charger for $4000.00 that where in better shape, but he lucked out big time.

Calling something junk is easy till you are really looking for a Charger with csah in your pocket and ready to spend it.

Guess that is why I posted about "that Charger is not that bad" alot when I see the E-bay Charger's being made fun of. I started with way less. The swiss cheese 68 Charger posted last week, God I wish mine was that good when I bought her.

Trav, I still say she was ruff, but never said not worth saving. As far as the rust free 68 fender, that seems cheap for $500.00. Won't say who brought by a pair of 69 Fenders that where bought at Monster Mopar weekend for I think $750.00 each. All I will say if you like bondo and a cheap paint job's (note I said paint jobs) and bondo cracks you would love this 68 Charger.

OK, I will shut up.

ken you are totally right..i know you meant well... and yes it is in sad shape. i'm not defending the poor guy, it's his car now. i'm simply stating the car was worth the money he paid me for it(it was not over $4000), and he added lots of parts to that list(i sold him the fender separate), and i don't know where he got the 4 speed stuff from, but that's good money too

By the way Trav, why is the glass gone? Rust or just missing?

As far as the fenders, bought mine as close as rust free as you can get in MO for $150.00 for the pair. Only took 25 hours each to make them look like something.

Trav, just sent him a E-mail as why he is selling. If he has gave up hope, I may be able to help him. If he need's the cash, that I cannot help.
