need info on mopar engine swap

  I just bought a six cyl dart and am looking to put in a v-8. I will be trying to locate a core engine, (440) or maybe a crate motor. I live in chevy land and all my friends are chevy friends and am a bit of a mopar novice myself. I see some hot small block crate engines for around $6000. Does anyone know a reputable builder should I go with an older design engine? Also what will I encounter doing the v-8 swap? Thanks for the help.  Oh , I forgot , I want to build something to kick my chevy friends (L78) butt.

Well if your going to put a small block or big block you are going to have to get a new k member, or get schumucer mounts. And upgrade the brakes, radiator, torrsion bars, rearend. And some other things also. If it was mine I would stroke a 340 or 360. Or if you felt like it go all the way and strok a 400. It is going to be alot of work, but it will eat your friends car up, if you do everything right!
