My car club has an outdated website.  I tried loading an editing program, Front Page 2000, to update it and neither one of my computers want to recognize it.

The club's prez' and treasurer want to just start all over with a new one and asked me to get something going.  Anyone out there point me in the right direction in building a new one?  It needs to be an easy set up.  WebSite Tonight is one I've come across but know nothing about them.  Suggestions?

     Thanks in advance.

Troy

Yuck! Front Page is something I hope to never have to use again in my lifetime. Unfortunately, anything I could recommend probably won't do what you need or will take too much time/effort to learn. Chris (69 Registry) seems to have a good setup with templates and things that were included in the site package.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I've used Frontpage 2000 for the past year and I haven't had that many problems with it. I used Dreamweaver in high school and I liked it as well. If you are looking for something easy to learn and use I would go with Frontpage if you can get it to load.

I have been using www.lunarpages.com for my web hosting.  They offer a free WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) type of website builder that is very easy to build & update....

I'd show you my club's website but we have pretty much folded & I have let the domain name expire....:rotz:
You can see it though by following this link....

I also used the program to build my registry site as well...

My personal site, built with Front Page 2000 & hosted for free can be seen here

Some day I will remake it using the Lunarpages software.... :popcrn:

I would give a go at a program called Photo Impact 12.

Heres the link.

This program is someplace between PhotoShop and a web Design program.

Its pretty strong at picture editing and creation, and for most users has more than enough options.

Webdesign wise its pretty weak, basically stringing together Image files that you have created links within.

But once again it should do.

Bottom line.......  you can create webpages fast that dont suck.

On a side note Photo impact 12 have become Coral impact Xp3 or some sort of random madness.

Which I have never used. Maybe its better maybe its worse I dunno. But the file size has doubled and
I suspect its full of junk you dont need.

Anyway the above link is for the "old" file.
