I wanna see that movie!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

This movie came out last fall. If I remember right, the Challenger was a total parts car that they did a quik HALPG job to for the movie.

The challenger has a  5.7 hemi carb. crate engine done by a movie car company. I was trying to get conversion info on it

Also it was NOT a '70. They used a few 72-74 models with converted grills and tail lights. I read the article where the steel panels were not available so the builder made them with fiberglass molded from an original '70.

Obviously, the good car used for the close-ups was somebody's car judging by the Mopar stickers all over the back window.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

The jump may not have killed the Chally they used either.  It's hard to tell from the movie footage but the Chally's landing looked relatively soft.

Hollywood has gotten a lot wiser about reinforcing the chassis of stunt cars when the model isn't easy to replace.  They'll weld on extra brackets to mount multiple shocks per wheel, aftermarket coilovers, etc.

And even when they don't plan on the car surviving the show, the extra chassis work may give them a few more repeats of the fatal jump before the car is totally dead.

yea it looked it came down softly. Anyway it's alway sad to see nice cars crashing. Even when they are just made nice for a movie, it hurts my eyes  :icon_smile_blackeye:
