Fuel gauge

I'm about to check my fuel gauge correctness:

-how big is the fuel tanks on 2nd gen chargers? about 19 gal?
-will I be able to pull out the sender unit with a half tank of gas?

The fuel tank is 19 gallons.

To be safe, I would empty the tank.  They siphon real easy, just hook up a hose to the sender outlet, put it in a container and blow a little air into the filler.  The gas will run out until the tank is empty.
