Just out of curiosity,  Why does it seem that there is never anyone in the chat room?  Why is it not used?

I tried the chat room a few times when the site first started, but the room isn't like the rest of the forum. where it is about cars. Seems that anyone with a java can access the chat room, and so you never know what/who is going to be in there discussing what.

bull

I guess IMO if screwing around this much on a message board hints at the fact that we have no life, time spent in the chat room would pretty much prove it.

Actually, in all honesty, I couldn't get it to work the last time I tried it a few years ago and it wasn't a valuable enough asset to me to spend the time trying to make it work.

Troy

The chat room is hosted/run by another site (which is publicly accessible). There was a "mod" to our forum software that basically set up a link to it. However, the chat software and connections changed a while back and broke everything. I don't have the new one installed yet. Even when it was busy there usually wasn't a lot of car talk.

I am the current "owner" of the chat room and I cannot get into it from any angle. Not from the site link, not from EWC directly nor any other backdoor I used to have. I'm not sure what the problem is? Most likely, my computer has a defective operator. That's my best guess.

i just got on... first time in about three months... new look to the window that opened but no problemo..  :shruggy:
i used to go on every night from work, and on thursday nights we had a regular gang of about 12 folks who would chat about cars although there was aALOT of trucks on there being discussed too - TODD...
kabby. moparornocar, dads' 69, travis, sometimes Troy,.. 01, Greenpigs, 4406pack, Challangeher,  TO, etc.. there were about 10 varyations of the 440 r/t charger name on there... and sometimes trolls would come on and get run off...
having a specific meeting time like the thursdays after 5:00 p.m. is a good way to hook up and we did disscuss chargers cars and trade parts and opinions so don't be shy...  :shruggy:

i spent some time on there a few days ago,..
the site's been updated and the usernames have been reset... there are some pretty basci changes...
no more smilies or sound effects (dammit!)... I personally loved to scare folks with the Roar... quite effective, and i'm sure Todd will miss his train whistle...
so you'll have to log in as though it's the first time...
