Help Decoding My 68 Charger Broadcast Sheet

Starting to decode my 68 build sheet which is faded quite bad. There is a 1 in the trans block and what looks like 208 in the steering column block. I believe that the 1 means 3-speed manual column shift and 208 I don't know. Anybody know production figures on a 318 three on the tree? This explains the stock installation look of the clutch peddle and Z bar bracket.
There is also a 1 in the sold car block what does it mean. I've tried to do a search on this site and on the web to help decode the build sheet without any luck. Does anyone know where I can find that info?

Leroy: I can't help you with your questions other than to tell you our steering column code is 36F. Ours was originally a 318 powered with 727 trans and a center console.

What I found interesting about your broadcast sheet is that it has the same intials CH on it as is on ours. I'm positive the same person signed both.

CH - Charger.  ;)

CH= Charger? Do you think? That takes all the thrill out of it for me. I'd swear the hand writing looks identical. I was thinking, even hoping the same guy worked on both cars. Next I was going to verify that like mine the other car was made at the Hamtramck plant. I guess there is no need now. :-\

That writting seems to be the norm for a Hamtramck built '68 Charger, although I've only seen a few St. Louis sheets.  I thought/think it was in reference to the interior (and/or carpet?).

I've seen:
CB - Charger Blue interior - C6B
CF - Charger Green interior - C6F
CR - Charger Red interior - C6R
CW - Charger White interior - C6W
CX - Charger Black interior - C6X

BUT I've also seen
CH - one in a C6X car & one in a C6F car (A25 & B03 SPDs)
----------------- the one from the C6X car actually looks like C/X but that doesn't explain the C6F car?

What is your interior code?

Based on the above, I looked into it a little more. I only have three 1968 Hamtramck broadcast sheets here.

1 - Charger, has the CH but the sheet is so faded I can not read the interior code.

2 - Charger sheet also, no grease pencil markings at all.

3 - Dart with white intior, letters are CW.

So, the C is not Charger like I thought, sorry.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

W for white makes sense, it also rules out carpet since there were no white carpets.

So, maybe the C just means "color" ?  :shruggy:

OF course, the possibility of typos on the hand written letters is possible also.

391 = three speed manual tranny on the column

208= The last character indicates color. Is your interior blue and could the 8 be a B instead?

691 = sold car. Sombody oprdered it.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

I think it refers to the interior, as others have said. You cannot read all of the trim code (missing) on the first attached build sheet (from another '68 4-speed owner) but it most likely reads "C6X" on the build sheet. The second sheet I've attached was found in my 4-speed '68 ( :P), and clearly shows the "C6X" trim code.
